In this article you will learn about:

1. Search
2. Tasks
3. Users
4. Permissions
5. Keyboard shortcuts

1.Search

The Search tool is located in the upper-hand right corner of your Runrun.it screen.

It functions as a quick search so you can find Tasks (under their respective Client> Project) or a specific user and their task list in the system.

The results are divided into two tabs: Results in Tasks and Results in Users.

2. Tasks

To find a Task on Runrun.it using the search function, use the Title or ID.

Just type what you want in the Search field and then click Enter on your keyboard.

When searching by Title, you will be shown a list of tasks that have the search words in their title.

The list of results will be divided into the following columns:

  • ID;
  • Priority;
  • Title;
  • Activity
  • State;
  • Users assigned;
  • Teams assigned;
  • Type;
  • Cliente;
  • Group;
  • Subgroup;
  • Project;
  • Status;
  • Created at;
  • Start date;
  • Delivery date;
  • Overdue;
  • Desire Date;
  • Estimated effort;
  • Worked hours;
  • Remaining hours;
  • Progress %;
  • Tags;
  • Created by.

For example, if you search for the word "meeting", you will see a list of all the tasks that have the word “meeting” in their title.

If you prefer, you can also search for the task’s ID number. Type the number into the Search field, and you will see the result in the list format.

Alternatively, you can use the following shortcut "go: ID", for example, "go: 258". That way, the task that matches the ID field will appear on your screen, as in the example below:

3. Users

You can search for a user by typing their name in the Search field.

Alternatively, use the "go: username" (go: Joana) shortcut and go directly to the specific user's task list.

 4. Permissions

All Runrun.it users can access the Search tool. However, the results will be limited to their level of access.

For example, User2 does not have access to view anything relating to Client XX. When User2 uses the Search function to look for the word "Meeting", he or she will not be able to access any results linked to that client.

5. Keyboard shortcuts

You can use the keyboard shortcuts to speed up some functions in Runrun.it. To open a search tab type "/".

Note: The forward-slash shortcut "to open search bar" will only work if the symbol is the primary key function. If you need to use the Shift key to type “/”, the shortcut will not work.
