How do the Stages on Runrun.it’s Boards work?
Updated over 5 years ago

1. Board Stages

2. Open Stages

3. Delivered Stages

1) Board Stages

Stages are nothing more than the processes that make up your workflow.

In Runrun.it, each column represents a stage on your Board. Therefore, you can have a simple workflow like Inbox > In progress > Review >  Approval > Delivered.

You could also have a more complex structure like: Briefing > Brainstorming > In Progress > Approval > Interview > Completed.

Each Stage belongs to a particular board. In other words, if you add the “Revision” stage to Board A, that stage will not appear in Board B or C, for example, unless one of the board editors manually adds that same stage to other Boards.

To add a stage to your board, click Create New Stage, enter a title, set whether it is open or close, and select the ✓ (check) icon. You must be a board editor to add a new stage.

The newly created stage will position itself on the board as the last open stage.

If you want to change the position of the Board’s stages, just drag them wherever needed.

2) Open Stages

Open Stages represent the parts of the process that are completed before the task is delivered. They are represented by a light-gray color on the board.

3) Close Stages

Close stages represent the parts of the process that are completed after the task is delivered. They are represented by a dark-gray color on the board.
